Forklift Water Pump - Attached to the crankshaft of the engine; the water pump is a basic centrifugal pump which is driven by a belt. The pump then circulates fluid when the engine is running.
Utilizing centrifugal force, the water pump sends water to the outside as it turns causing the fluid to be constantly drawn from the pumps center. The pump inlet is located close to the center. This particular design allows fluid returning from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically placed to be able to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it enters the engine.
The fluid which is exiting the pump primarily flows through the engine block and cylinder head. The fluid then travels into the radiator and finally circulates back to the pump.
